    The Voice of the Yankees, John Sterling, has retired effective immediately. Since 1989 (mostly alongside color commentator Suzyn Waldman), he’s entertained generations of baseball fans. Not to be limited to just radio, he’s won twelve Emmys for sports documentaries, and even performed in a Broadway show.

    John, you will be dearly missed in the broadcast booth.
