  1. Are Provincial Separatist movements "White Nationalist"?

It felt obvious to me that they are, but I figured out one possible reason the average Canadian loyalist can't see it.

  3. A great piece from Calgary academic Lisa Young - with the wrong headline. Racism isn’t the underbelly of the Alberta separatist campaign. It’s the icing that’s poured all over the top of the cake. It has been, ever since the days of Jim Keegstra and Doug Christie - but it’s even more brazen now. thetyee.ca/Opinion/2025/07/08/ #ableg #abpoli #Alberta #Wexit #cdnpoli #immigration

  4. In the second part of my interview with @MarkhamHislop , we turned to the issue of Alberta separatism and what Wexit rhetoric might mean for Alberta’s economy, and for the future of Canada. I got a little hot under the collar, you might say! youtu.be/CAzKWaqUQro #Wexit #Alberta #ableg #abpoli #ClimateChange #SenCa

  5. Danielle Smith is the least popular Premier in the country, and the reason is obvious. She doesn't see herself as Canadian.

  6. Danielle Smith is threatening to break up the county because she wants to be American, against the wishes of her own province. She may even be collaborating with Trump, considering her extensive interactions with him.

Her reasons for doing this, officially, are that the federal election didn't go how she wanted. Her preferred party lost an election so she wants to hold our sovereignty hostage.

Her brand of conservatism is a threat.

  7. #Wexit Wexit mewled in a stall:
Wexit Wexit had a great fall.

All the Queen's roadapples, and all the Queen's wrens
Shan't ever put Wexit back together again

    -Signed,

The already staggeringly overwhelming majority, and growing in number every day, of #Albertan #Canadians

Last month r-wing pollsters Angus Reid alleged they had wrung out 18% of ABs who wanted to join the US
    cbc.ca/news/canada/canada-join

That's dropped 6% since, and just to 'consider it', according to
    dailyhive.com/canada/alberta-p

  8. "Canada is a prestigious trade partner who does $3.5 billion of cross-border trading with us every day. We should take their resources."

Also, he's mistaken that Canadians want Canada to be the 51st state. It's Albertans who wanted Alberta to cede from Canada and become the 51st state. That movement was called #Wexit, and is supported by Take Back Alberta; which includes our current Premier and her UCP cabinet

It's dangerous to mix up Alberta politics and Canadian politics.

  9. @infobeautiful The #UK is not 'a country'. It is 3+ countries united (?) by a bejeweled piece of metal.

  10. CW: Link to explainer on racist, anti-immigrant, Islamophobic violence in UK

@heidilifeldman The #Southport riots are in #England and #NorthernIreland. None have been in #Scotland or #Wales. Don’t smear the entire #UK with a #racist brush.

  11. @dnorman looks like this model is fortelling the #wexit union of BC & Alberta ..

  12. @VulcanTourist @DavidM_yeg

It's no coincidence that the Canadians who do this are flying US flags, often live in the US when they are elected officials in Canada with constituents here, and say things like, "I greatly admire Ron DeSantis and his (Don't Say Gay) policies should be the model for Alberta", and "We need to look at the US healthcare model". -_-

Oh, and are also part of the #Wexit movement which is now aiming for Alberta to leave Canada and join the US (knowing they can't be solo).

  13. @zazzoo Yup. My example is just flying the stars and stripes, but many are also flaying the Trump 2024 flags alongside their F*CK TRUDEAU flags. smh.

Considering that Alberta is run by a Premier who was a key player in #Wexit and wants Alberta to join the USA.
