I'm just having such a hard time with the loss of a place we all had such a life tie to. It's struggled with seeing the Memorial gone because our music director was also gone.
It wasn't like I could go and walk the space and remember those days. Remenber what my director gave me. No. It's gone.
I'm having such a hard time wiith this loss. It takes one song to trigger me. This has been a huge loss for anyone that grew up in Wetaskiwin and the admin sold for it to be burned up.
I'm so sad. I'm so sad. My heart is so broken.
It's gone forever. Those memories are gone forever. Those kids finding a stage don't have one anymore.
I'm just so fucking sad.

Memories in the booth, and the stage gone.
I've been sitting with this since it happened and I'm strugling.
Memories up in smoke.
I went down and walked the wreckage. My heart is still hurting.
This building inspired so many to be the best they could, and fostered so much talent.
It's gone. It's completely gone.
That building meant so much for so many. I'm just so sad. My director isn't even here anymore to say it's okay because dementia took him first.
I hate all of this. I don't like getting older. My heart hurts too much.

The Memorial Centre in Wetaskiwin is likely gone after a fire late last night.
So many memories there of Big Band Dinner Dances, Lethal Dose, and so many other events.
My heart really aches this morning to see such an important space see this terrible demise.
So much of my formative years were shaped in this building. This one really hurts.

I have a hard time with people bitching about the property tax in Edmonton.
Wetaskiwin, just 35 minutes south of town, has a residential mill rate of 1.33417% and it's all single family homes save a few very dated and dilapidated apartment buildings.
Edmonton is at 1.01391% and the quality of services we get is infinitely better than that of Wetaskiwin.

I went to high school with this girl’s mom. Took off with some guy and left her phone at home. Could be in Edmonton, Leduc, and area.
UPDATE: the girl has been located and has been returned home safe. Removing the RCMP poster to protect her identity.

WOW! A VERY active cell passing through #Wetaskiwin towards #Camrose right now. TONS of lightning!!!
Sorry for the pixelation, viewing the cameras remotely and they have Starlink. But even through a very active electrical storm, it's streaming pretty well.
