The kids were out of town this weekend, so I made my traditional light-rail pilgrimage over to #WestSeattle to tend to the critters: Gala, the gecko, Honey the corn snake and a brand _new_ addition to the family, Ambrosia.
I hadn't met Ambrosia before and it took me about 15 minutes to eventually find her(in a two bedroom apartment!)
She, reluctantly, agreed to make an extremely brief cameo(strictly for proof of life purposes...).
Next time, I'm sure we'll become the best of friends. 😆 -

For anyone interested in land restoration in Seattle, or maybe even the PNW in general, West Seattle Blog posted a community presentation about ongoing efforts to restore Schmitz Park, which is a park of preserved ancient forest + a freshwater creek in West Seattle (with a trail that leads to Alki Beach). The sound isn't great, but the auto-subtitles help a lot.

#ALERTA Yesterday roving bands of ICE agents were seen throughout West Seattle with notable ICE deployments near touristy spots like Alki Beach.
I've also seen a number of credible ICE reports in North Seattle through the first part of this week.
ICE is clearly actively operating in parts of Seattle this week.
