Well, in 2025 my little protégé (John Wesley/?Clairgeau de Nantes) only yielded 5 or 6 pears, but this year it got to 20 🙂 . These are big fruit, mostly in the 200-300g range, with the biggest 390g.
I know, I know ... folks in more pear-friendly climates will laugh about that, but out here that's not to be sneezed at. My Gorham pear also did well this year, as most years. Apples are only so-so for some reason.

The bowl is a 20+ year old souvenir bought from a craft pottery in the #WestOfIreland. At the time neat intact salad bowls were a rare thing in the kitchens of the hostels we used for accomodation. Salad prepared and served out of a metal pot does work. But this way the food would taste even better. 🙂
