Our overall take (and yes, one of us had fun writing this) - Westland Whiskey's Cask Exchange with Georgetown Brewing's Barrel-aged 18 lb. Imperial Porter.

It’s a creative, region-forward whiskey that’s doing something different by letting a brewery’s beer finish inside the barrel and then bringing it back into a distillate context. The resulting flavors clearly echo the beer’s influence — dark fruit, coffee/toasted-grain notes, peppery spice — yet remain firmly in the whiskey camp. If you enjoy whiskeys with a craft-beer twist, this one’s a fascinating experiment.

And we really enjoyed writing this summary — diving into the flavor notes, the back-and-forth between distillery and brewery, and the idea of a whiskey that bridges two worlds felt like a delicious little adventure.
