#LongIsland fires in #Westhampton. It’s worth noting that this time last year Long Island was way above the average for #rain fall. March 2024 had the highest March precip. ever recorded at KISP (Islip Airport) with 9.54 inches per my earlier #ClimateDiary post. This year, as the comparison graph shows, we are at at or near (◆= missing data) record low rain. As of this morning, 100% knocked down (no visible flame) and 22% contained with perimeter firebreak.
