    I'm inventing a new film genre that I'm going to call "Old West Noir."
    Examples include -- but are not limited to -- Clint Eastwood's "Unforgiven," 1992, and Alejandro Inarritu's 2015 saga, "The Revenant," starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
    (Apologies to the actual inventor of this genre, if it's already been named and claimed.)
    Now that you know what I'm talking about, if you like this sort of thing, there's a great new mini-series streaming now on the Netflix with Betty Gilpin and Taylor Kitsch called, "American Primeval."
    It takes place in 1857 in the US's Utah territory.
    Gritty, grim, and action-packed, I had to pull myself away from it after the first episode or I would have binged the whole thing.
