Yay! Meine #WesternDigital #Backup #Festplatte hat die Grätsche gemacht. Einiges konnte ich restaurieren, aber die wirklich wichtigen Dinge wie z.B. Fotos sind weg.. 🥺

Wie macht ihr das eigentlich? Ich bin versucht, mir ab jetzt 2 Backup Platten zu holen und dann abwechselnd zu nutzen.
Das kam mir bisher für den privaten Gebrauch etwas "überkandidelt" vor, aber bei einer Backup Platte, die einfach unvermutet den Geist aufgibt, ist das natürlich ein krasser Verlust auf einmal.

Könnt ihr gerade eine externe USB Platte empfehlen? Wenn ich Kommentare auf den entsprechenden Seiten lese, gibt es eigentlich bei allen namhaften Herstellern solche zu Komplettausfällen.. Allerdings in der Tat scheinbar besonders dolle bei WD Platten.

Der Inhalt dieser 80 GB-Festplatte aus 2006 passt heute locker auf Mikro-SD-Karten in Handys und Kameras.

Someone should invent a noisemaker that makes random #HardDrive sounds and what noise it makes is configurable based on a selected drive brand and type, so you could have it be #Seagate #Exos, WD Blue, #Maxtor, small laptop ones, 5.25-inch and larger ones, iPod- and Zune-sized ones, etc. This could be run on its own or connected to the hard drive indicator LED pins to make noise when a drive is accessed.
