Just looking at traffic cams – our the city is in a state of flux tonight. Main expressway through the city is closed for a bridge replacement.

Also, in my 'hood, an old brick building I liked was sadly demolished this evening. A little more history lost.

We were walking by as they catastrophically knocked the second story down, damaging much of their scaffolding and metal barriers. Rather sloppy work.

Walking thru my 'hood, I see a new #coffeeShop emerging. Still step ladders and paint buckets but should be close.

A long-standing #Bridgehead coffee shop closed across the street as that little local chain got bought out by a big corp. They seem to be shrinking as per big corporate modus operandi.

Hope this new one is decent. Wish it were indie, but that name sounds franchisey.

Aha - the neighbourhood is getting a #ramen shop. Great to see. Hope it's good.

Don't think I've tried their other spot on Somerset st – they took over the former Ginza Ramen location which I had tried before.

Seeing dozens and dozens of people walking thru my 'hood this afternoon with styrofoam coffee cups and matching touques. Not sure what's going on, but I feel like I've missed out on something.

@shawnhooper @2600 It's back!. You definitely used to find it around #Ottawa - I have a whole collection, and never subscribed (a bit paranoid about who might be watching).
Pretty sure they used to carry it at the #Westgate mall newsstand, and also my favourite newsstand in #Westboro (it closed a few years ago).

Glad to see the infamous "Seven Tea Miles" #chaiTruck has successfully opened their store-front location in #Ottawa's #Westboro.

Go check it out - it looks like their menu is ramping with several interesting items. You can already get their awesome tea and a few food bits.

Picked up a ginger-cardomom #chai today.

A nice day for walking. Did a 4.5km loop.

Went past the sloooowly-evolving #Westboro LRT site, past all the proposal signs for the mountain-range of high-rises that are going to take over the 'hood along its route, and then up the hydro corridor behind the grocery store.

Lots of construction is lined up for the decade to come. Wish I had some confidence that it was going to be to benefit of the residents, not just the developers.
