Ein #Railjet Express der #ÖBB steht für einen Zwischenstopp am Bahnhof. Es kommt eine Durchsage (nur leicht gekürzt): "Ich habe leider den Schaffner vom anderen Zugteil in St. Anton stehen lassen. Wir warten, bis er mit der #Westbahn nachkommt, bevor wir weiterfahren können."
Ja, wirklich. Ich fahre vernünftig viel mit der Bahn, aber das ist wirklich next level. Wenn schon die ÖBB-Schaffner lieber mit der Westbahn fahren, was soll man da noch sagen... 🤦♂️

With #Westbahn 🇦🇹 from #Vienna to #Villach this afternoon. This is a leased #Stadler #SMILE High Speed Train, like the ones in service for #SBB🇨🇭Gotthard Base Tunnel #Giruno workings from #Zurich or #Basel to #Lugano, #Milan and beyond. On the new-built #Koralmbahn line we reach a top speed of 250kph.

Now, WESTbahn runs regular services over the Koralmbahn to the south 🚆 Took train 1001 from Graz to Villach — brilliant ride. Even had a quick chat with the CEO. Marking the day with my new semi-geographic network map 💚💙
