After a lovely, warm, dry, but not overly sunny day, the rain has arrived - right on time by the BOM.

Although we were a bit slug-a-bed with the arrival of daylight saving, we did manage to show up for BusFEST. On the way home we shopped Werribee a bit and stopped for coffee at a new place in Watton St. The afternoon we spent resting up.

All in all, a pretty good day. Have some more Werribee pics.

The ALP should not take those preferences for granted, and in next year's Federal election those preferences could easily go to the Greens or a Teal candidate.

The LNP and its mainstream media arm are touting it as a large swing to them, but in private their analysts will be disappointed with the small boost to their primary vote (+3.7%).

The Greens had a good opportunity to steal votes from Labor but failed to perform (+0.7%), and should be grateful they didn't receive a thrashing from the voters.

- Victoria Socialist, Sue Munro (+3.7%)

I'm about to roll over for the night, but before I go I thought I'd share these birbs with you.

The orange-bellied parrot is so rare that not so long ago, only two breeding hens were known in the wild. And although it breeds in Tasmania, it spends the rest of the year near where I live. And I never knew about it till the other half of the household mentioned the area has "more birds than Kakadu".
