@raymaccarthy @m_berberich @davidrevoy Star Trek: The Next Generation added "Heisenberg Compensators" to the standard list of technobabble to lampshade just how broken the described "physics" of transporters were. #WernerHeisenberg is closely associated with the #UncertaintyPrinciple which is a powerful barrier to even describing the state of a body's position and momentum at the same time.
Disturbing thought, what if transporters vaporized people and got some information, and then recreated living beings on the other side with AI slop?
