Jervaulx Abbey - It was founded by French cistercians from the Roquefort region, who developed the cheese that would become Wensleydale.
The Abbey was heavily involved in the Pilgrimage of Grace and suffered badly as a consequence. It's a really romantic flower covered ruin today.
I had one of my best ever naps here one late summer afternoon 😴

Wot I dunz (achieved) today:
1) Upgraded my #OS (Operating system)
2) Drank two lassis (no sugar or sweetener, just greek #yogurt and milk frothed together with a fork)
3) Made a great #egg foo yung for lunch
4) #Walked to the mostly deserted Springfield Park to check the wild plant life
5) Prepared for my death by not dying just yet.
6) Had a light supper of #wensleydale cheese on digestive biscuits
7) Learned that balancing on one leg can be combined with kicking #Nazis in the nuts
8) Must get my free #library up and running. Or just contribute to existing. Oh well 7 things is pretty good going for a Sunday...:nonazis: 🥰 :success:
