We miss you, our hometown Rafah…
Two years of displacement and forced exile, and still we are not allowed to return.

For two long years, we’ve been carrying the keys of our homes in our hearts, living as strangers, holding onto memories of our streets, our homes, our simple, beautiful days.

We are still living on memories… on laughter that once filled every corner, and on dreams that refuse to fade.

I'm so on edge with the deal that seems to be on the table. I keep picturing the moment hostages return, reuniting with their families, stepping back into life, into the light, into a safe and loving place.

It's like I'm holding my breath, waiting for the headline confirming it's happening — only to hold it again as each man, woman, child, and elderly person is released.
