I'm thinking of going for a walk on Hergest Ridge some time over the weekend. I live on the side of the Malverns, which are about the same height, so I don't mind the odd hill. However, it's going to be pretty warm. Do you think it'll be worth the effort? I've been wanting to go ever since I realised that Mike Oldfield's album was named after a real place (about 25 years ago).

Castle Pulverbatch.
The impressive remains of a Motte and Bailey earthworks in Pulverbatch, South West of Shrewsbury, UK
Constructed in the late 11th Century, and possibly only occupied for around 50 years. There is no evidence of there ever being any stone defences.
The views are quite extensive across Mid Shropshire and the Long Mynd.
