I'M REMINDED OF AN OLD SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE SKIT from the 2000 (1988?) election.

They mocked a presidential debate where the audience asked the questions. Every time Gore/Dukakis mentioned "tax cuts", the questioner would say, "I hear you saying 'TAXES'."

#Welker just did that on #MeetTheRepublicans. As #AlSayed kept pointing out how #MedicareForAll would cost LESS than what people currently pay for private insurance, she kept trying to get him to say people's "taxes would go up." 😡 🤦‍♂️

Approval of #Democrats may be in the toilet at just 30%...

BUT THAT'S BECAUSE Democrats are frustrated their Party isn't doing MORE to stop #DictatorDon's violations of the #Constitution or reign in #Felon47's incessant criminal activity.

One of the things I can't stand about #MtP #MeetThePress (even before #Welker) is that they are ALWAYS woefully unprepared when it comes to follow-up questions.

There wasn't a SINGLE response from Blanche yesterday I couldn't have guessed in advance, and yet Welker provided little-to-no push-back.

He "pointed out" that in the "4 years of the #Biden Admin, they didn't release a single file"… playing up the "hoax" angle. But the fact is it was A SEALED OPEN CASE during that time.

Booker had to point out the obvious:

They did this during the #Dubya Administration as well. "If Republicans #Shutdown the gov't, blame #Democrats." 🤦‍♂️

#Welker (of all people) on #MtP this morning DID point out (to Lankford who was defending #BrainWormBearDumper) that during his confirmation, he testified: "I'm not a scientist and will never try to dictate the science" (I forget his/her exact words.)

Someone needs to play back that testimony to him. 🤬

#MeetTheRepublicans is nothing but #Welker's (disastrous) interview of #TheOrangeMenace where she let him lie repeatedly with minimal push back, and actually say #insane things like "military force to take #Canada is a possibility" & "all the good parts are from the #TrumpEconomy & all the bad parts are [from] the #BidenEconomy", while he accuses the Media of "hiding #Biden's mental decline for years."
