😶 I Was Told No One Wants #FatGirls
“Growing up, my #body was a punch line.
The first time I recall a boy #commenting on my body was when I was in the fifth grade. I must have been #ten.”
This egregious, blatant #fat-shaming of women and girls (particularly in the post-Ozempic remedial launch) is heinous, damaging and harmful to all of society. #WeightShaming in the U.S. is leading to mental health declines, emotional/physical violence and tragic suicides.

Dodged a bullet this morning at my doctor’s office. Nurse waved me past that damn scale, saying it was broken. It’s gonna be a good day, I thought. And it was!

CW: reminder not to body shame, mentions of ed/dysmorphia/etc
Reminder that you don't know what is going on with people you think are "too skinny" and making fun of them or telling them to "go eat a sandwich" is a hostile act. They could have an illness, body dysmorphia, an eating disorder, or any other number of issues or combination of them. Just because thin-ness can be a privilege doesn't make it okay to wholecloth body shame.
