It took me almost a year, but according to the scale this morning, I’ve finally managed to hit my goal weight. In the past 11 months, I’ve managed to run over 780 miles (I only started running 7 months ago), and lost over 80 lbs. For the first time in over 20 years, I am in the healthy weight range. I’ve had to buy new clothes, and now wear the same size pants I wore in high school.
It’s been quite the journey. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished and I’m probably now in the best shape I’ve ever been in my whole life. -
I found that processed foods have a ridiculous amount of calorie density. Regular unprocessed foods can be tasty. I'm not denying myself all tasty processed foods, but I scan everything with the app; it made me conscious of the consequences of what I was eating, sometimes giving me second thoughts. I looked at a bag of tortilla chips, and a serving was like 7 chips, for a ridiculous number of carbs. I raged, then ate something else.

CW: Diet talk, food related weight loss.
It's funny that to be healthy, and to loose weight, you should eat specific amount protein and fiber, but my food app that I use to count calories and keep track of my protein keeps fiber behind a pay wall.
Fiber is what helps prevents colon cancer.
I feel like tracking that, protein, carbs, sugars, and fats should be free, and they could keep all of the micronutrient crap behind a paywall.
