I did some paddleboarding with my sister today on the Weeki Wachee River, and it was just gorgeous to be out on the water! We even saw a manatee who passed by on its way downriver

The trailer for #MerPeople reminded me that not everything about #Florida is bad.
I've never been to #WeekiWachee, but as a kid we'd go to classic roadside attractions like #ParrotJungle, #MonkeyJungle, and the #Miami #Serpentarium (#BillHaast draped a large constrictor across my outstretched 10-year old arms - so awesome!)
We weren't allowed to swim at Miami Beach, but #VirginiaKey, the "#Negro" beach, was closer to all the fun (as an adult, I don't include the #Seaquarium in that).
