Am Freitagnachmittag des #ComicSalonErlangen gabs nun noch 2 eher betrübliche Paneldiskussionen.

Im Panel über #Webtoons wurde hinter die Kulissen dieser inzwischen sehr populären Comicform geschaut. Neben Arbeitsweisen und Besonderheiten der Form für die Künstlerinnen ging es dabei auch viel um prekäre Arbeitsverhältnisse, Erwartungsdruck, Ausbeutung und teils willkürliche Zensur durch die Plattform.

Anschließend ging ein weiteres Panel direkt auf prekäre Arbeitsverhältnisse von Comicschaffenden ein, geringe Honorare und hohen Leistungsdruck, Burnout. Neben einer "Aussteigerin", die jetzt einem anderen Beruf nachgeht, war auch David Füleki dabei, der letztes Jahr durch eine Doku zu dem Thema schon viel Aufmerksamkeit erhalten hatte. Von nur 4 Stunden Schlaf, von nur 0,30 € pro Arbeitsstunde war die Rede. Tantiemen aus sich langfristig verkaufenden Büchern sind kaum erwähnenswert, der Anteil am Verkaufspreis für die Künstler liegt meist bei bestenfalls 10%.
Auch manche Stipendien und Ähnliches sind nicht umbedingt hilfreich, da Bedingungen extrem einengend sein können und die geforderten Leistungen in keinem Verhältnis zum Geld stehen. Lösungen waren leider nicht in Sicht.
