Last week I discovered a years worth of newsletter emails from 2004-5 that I used to send to my US customers who bought music & film UK import merch from me. They contain all kinds of media content links and are a snapshot of web culture prior to the mass takeover of socmed. Im going to publish them as a collection, even tho some links are broken. They're #internethistory.

It’s 2023, why are so many platforms/sites still allowing users to complete signup without verifiying email addresses?

*pontificates* if you sign up for something and the email address cannot be verified within a couple of hours, the account should be automatically deleted. You don’t get to sign up /sign in until the email address is verified.
