Warping boards are ridiculously priced, so I made one. It's not great woodworking, but I'm very pleased with how it came out. I didn't want to hang it permanently, so I'm using this over the door hook thingy when I need to prepare a warp.

Also, we're going to paint these walls. I hate this color so much.

Texture is provided by the yarn in this case.

The yarn is a yarn made of recycled cotton, silk and acrylic. It's a single with still some twist in. I had planned to knit with it, but the fabric had too much bias for what I wanted to do with it.

On to the loom, with crochet cotton as warp. The result is a very nice light scarf. And the lilac of the warp goes nicely with the turquois.

Well, the honeymoon is over. My loom (do you name your looms?) had warp on it when I got it, so I just started practicing with some cotton yarn. The warp is at it's ends, and I'll have to choose the next warp and get it on the loom. Do I feel anxious about this? You betcha! But, excited, too!
