Aus dem Nachwort des Romans lässt sich herauslesen, dass Makoto Shinkai mit dem Ende von #WeatheringWithYou keinen Kompromiss eingegangen ist, und darum vielleicht auch keine Reue für den Storyverlauf spürt. 🤔
Der Punkt macht mich persönlich versöhnlicher damit. Es ist nicht meine Lieblingsstory, aber es ist die Story, die er erzählen wollte und das ist sehr okay. 😊

Darüber hinaus wird in Frage gestellt, ob eine Minderheut zum Wohle einer Mehrheit die Verantwortung übernehmen soll. In diesem Kontext das Menschenleben einer Person für den Wohlstand des Status Quo.
Am emotionalsten war jedoch die Frage der Reue in Bezug auf den Verlust einer wichtigen Person und was ein Mensch bereit ist zu tun, um nicht bereuen zu müssen. 🤔

Das Thema mit dem Wetter hat ein leichtes Geschmäckle in Bezug auf den Klimawandel, weil Sätze fallen, die auch Menschen sagen, die den menschengemachten Klimawandel leugnen.
Im Kontext der Geschichte, ergibt das jedoch keinen Sinn.Bezogen auf das Wetter scheint mir die Story viel stärker vermitteln zu wollen, dass es keine Kompromisse mit uns eingeht, weshalb die Klimadebatte auch nicht aufgeschoben werden kann. 🤔

Heute konnte ich den Abschlussband zu #WeatheringWithYou beenden. 📚
Mir ist noch einmal aufgefallen wie schlicht das Charakterdesign ist, was die Figuren nahbarer macht. In dem Stil von Kubota werden die Emotionen durch Mikroexpression gut transportiert, was ich echt beeindruckend finde. 😯
Zum Ende hin hatte ich wieder viele Gedanken wie schon beim Film und Roman. Es ist nicht mein liebstes Werk von Shinkai, aber es regt etwas in mir. 🤔 -

The soundtrack of "Weathering with You" might not be my favorite movie soundtrack out there, but I still absolutely love it. I wouldn't be surprised if I listened to the entire album over 50 times.
I don't know how they do it, but #RADWIMPS just can't seem to produce bad soundstacks.

Der Stil kam mir irgendwie vertraut vor, aber bisher habe ich nichts von Kaori Ozaki gelesen. 🤔
Die Hauptstory könnte eine Inspiration für #WeatheringWithYou sein, aber wahrscheinlich ist es nur durch Zufall ähnlich in der Thematik (und der Schwerpunkt ist unterschiedlich).
Was mir etwas zu schaffen gemacht hat, ist die Tatsache, dass die beiden Hauptfiguren Grundschüler sind. 🥲 -
