But if we have a princess of rain, we need to at least recognize Hina Amano, the sunshine girl from Weathering With You.

With just a prayer, she can cause rain clouds to come again another day!

The soundtrack of "Weathering with You" might not be my favorite movie soundtrack out there, but I still absolutely love it. I wouldn't be surprised if I listened to the entire album over 50 times.

I don't know how they do it, but #RADWIMPS just can't seem to produce bad soundstacks.

This evening's viewing: Weathering With You, by Makoto Shinkai. Not quite as emotional as his Your Name or Suzume (at least not for me), but still rather sweet, and beautifully made.

Die Tage habe ich #OurSummerHoliday gelesen. 📚

Weather extremes — During our staff meeting my boss who is visiting Ireland tells us how cold it is, and how underdressed she feels for that cold. Said she’s going to have to go clothes-shopping. Here on my side we’re having February in March. February is usually hot as hell — but it turned out not too bad. Now I’m so hot I’m wishing for just a fraction of that Irish chill — not too much though, because I don’t like getting cold. #weatheringwithyou

It has been raining so much over here lately. Many fields are flooded and some neighbors even have to pump water from inside their houses. Maybe it's time to sacrifice another child... I saw that in a movie once and it seemed to work well.

@audricd ayyy, gracias cielo🥰. ¿La has visto?

I still like #YourName best, but I definitely enjoyed #Suzume more than #WeatheringWithYou

Mostly because Weathering feels kinda messy and the ending hits a bit too hard, it looks me straight in the eye and i find i can't quite meet it

I Saw #Suzume earlier tonight. It was really good, but I don't think I liked it as much as Shinkai's last couple of films.

I really enjoy the intimate relationships of the characters in both #YourName and #WeatheringWithYou and how they evolve. Suzume has a bit less of this due to the nature of the film.

It's a bit more heavy on the #Anime tropes and feels a bit more fantasy and Ghibli-esque but still has that special Makoto Shinkai touch.

The entire planet would be better off taking two hours this weekend to watch this gorgeous, relaxing movie. Yes, it's dystopian, but it's also about fighting for what you want--in this case, that's love. #anime This one may look like it's from #StudioGhibli but it's not.
