Two more nights of zero degree lows, I'm seeing in the forecast, but the lows have been vacillating constantly, so it's anyone's guess.

Glad i didn't put off outdoor activity yesterday. Our forecast has been showing rain icons, but it doesn't seem to be happening.
That presumably changes later today when there's a 'yellow rain' warning.
Hmm. Okay, not going to touch that one.

Sunny and warming up quickly. Getting some bread going this morning. A few things I want to get done today. Weather is headed towards cooler again mid week.

Sunny day, with a nice mid-range cool temp. Looking good.
The weather gods are just phoning it in though, and aregoing with an identical plan for tomorrow.

First time lounging about outside this year. Looks like 24C though grey with rain likely soon. A little hint of green to some of the shrubs, must be buds fattening up.
The #raven pair is certainly impacting the squirrel population. They seem to have a fresh carcass every time I see them.
Lots of bird song about. I know nothing about birds but will pull up #Merlin for a scan.

Grey and inexplicably still cold, though double-digit temps are always elusively coming "tomorrow."
My knee has been pretty good the last few days, so I'd like to give it a couple of km walking test today.

The rain was indeed heavy last night, but it didn't seem like we got the threatened 20-40mm forecast.
Not complaining - things are looking calm and not excessively wet around me.

The rain is falling now. We've got heavy rainfall warnings in effect.
We've so far weathered all the rains we've had since we moved in here over the last 18months without probs.
Always watching to see if some level of rain gives us basement probs, but so far so good. (Still going to rework our sump pump this summer as its ancient.)

Heavy rain overnight, and thunder! There's still snow that persists this morning, though it has retracted further. This last bit is pretty resilient.
Garden beds are visible and the pond is still there.

Big snowy blanket gradually being pulled back to reveal the grubby brown lawns beneath.
Eager to see the first sprouting things!

Okay, our last sub-zero day before we jump into a stretch of warmth that I suspect will be the end of our snow on the ground.
Nice when the last freezy day is kind of bright and dry. Pay no attention to the -12 wind chill.

Excellent supply of sunbeams for the cats, icy cold -11C outside though. Brr.

Well that deep freeze kicked in overnight, and yesterday's melty pools of run off are solid little mini skating rinks scattered about the streets and sidewalks today.
Tonight might be the last of the nasty temps? Down to minus 28C, and windchill down to minus 33. It tempers a bit for a still-chilly Monday, but then boom–above zero for the foreseeable days!
And can you believe it? February finally ended!

Увидел сегодня вечером странный снег. Снег похож на круглые гранулы до пары миллиметров в диаметре. Похож на крупный песок или замерзший дождь. Ассоциация с песком усиливается, когда начинаешь его пересыпать.
Когда снимал это все то он уже стал подтаивать и слипаться, и становиться коркой, но пару часами раньше он был совсем рассыпчатый. -
Follow me if you want more posts about how I've yet to finish any art this year, and why is it still raining, I mean that's a bit much for February and I've not seen any proper snow, plus the few moments of sun we had this week was a bit of a tease because we all know it'll be cold again this weekend.
