Stumbled upon an amazing little creature today at Paxton Pits. I have never seen one in my life before. When I saw it, I thought it was a mouse based on its small size (about 20cm). But this is a Least Weasel (or just Weasel in the UK). Its our smallest carnivore.

TIL: That in world folklore the least weasel (Mustela nivalis) is capable of defeating a basilisk using only it's body odour, and a wendigo in the following fashion.

Just as I was watering my plants she ran along the other side of the street. Yes, the picture is horrible but, she's so fast it's already a miracle I could take it. You can guess her butt and tail behind the bicycle wheel.
The good point is, I know she has habit, then if she came here two mornings in a row it probably means I'm going to see her every morning for a while. I'm still convinced she's the one periodically lodging in our roof.
