  1. "Regain Control And Limit Exposure
To regain control and limit negative exposure to the endless stream of digital junk that keeps raining upon us,"
omg; reminds me of SpaceX StarLink meteorites. They stopped falling yet?

"it's best to first start with an situational assessment of your digital life.
Dangerous bonus: this can have a positive impact on many other aspects of your life.
    Thoughts to have in mind:
    1. What am I trying to achieve?
    2. Is this activity aligned with my personal goals?
    3. Is the content that I consider important aligned with my personal goals?
    4. Am I focusing on my circle of control or circle of concern?
    5. Am I consuming the right time of content?
    6. What content brings the most value to me?"

*Like* Trauma-Informed Mindfulness, but more... Value-Affirmed Intent.

The only thing I don't/can't do anymore is #PhysicalDistancing. Seems a lot of people are already forgetting what a terrible thing #covid is.

  3. #news #Philippines #covid19
Numbers are rising again as people gather for the holidays. People get relaxed, ignore warnings and throw caution out.

Everyone's sooooo into having fun. 🙄
Fun is overrated. Ask a monk.

Hopefully it doesn't get too bad.
    It's hard to avoid germs.
    But try anyway.

Ever experienced not being able to breathe? Losing a loved one?
    It's not fun.
    Don't go there.

  4. @sigsegv
Yes, that was a real concern and the reason our authorities said we had to implement varying levels of #CommunityQuarantine months ago -- because the hospitals would not be able to handle it.

Stories of people not being able to get treatment in hospitals. My friend's elderly dad-in-law stayed at a hospital >80kms from home because there was no room at their city hospitals.

    Don't let that happen. 🙏

  5. Just found out a friend got #covid19. She's fully vaccinated with #Sinovac, but says she caught it from her unvaccinated dad. Fortunately they both seem fine and are quarantining at home. Good thing they're not severe/critical cases. 🙏 Hospitals are quite full already. 😶

Didn't ask for details. From what I know about her dad, he probably went mingling with friends, or traveled for business out of town. #DontBeStubborn #StaySafe

  6. Lately I've been going out weekly, unlike before when I only went out once every 2-3 weeks. Should be okay. I exercise the same old precautions. Many people already vaccinated and our city doing pretty okay with #covid19 numbers. #vaccines #WashYourHands #sanitize #WearYourMask #FaceShields #PhysicalDistancing

  7. A graph from the COVID-19 Philippine Situationer, 15 March 2021, showing Confirmed Cases By Date Of Onset Of Illness (Nationwide) and part of a PDF page showing the Rt value from 2 weeks ago at > 1. Ideal Rt is < 1. 😶

I do NOT like this trend. 😖

  8. CW: Philippine COVID-19 cases bulletin

Not good. Numbers for new cases going up. 📈

    91.3% recovered
    2.09% died

1.7k tested positive out of the
    19.9k people tested yesterday

    95.3% mild/asymptomatic

  9. Oops. That Rt value was from 2 weeks ago but looking at the graphs the actual trend now* is ⬆️.

Possible reasons for the ⬆️ trend: people getting too relaxed, getting careless; new variants (no proof here, just 1 more possible thing that may contribute to new cases).

Haven't been paying attention to the #news the past few months. Must keep myself updated. ☝️

  13. Went to the weekly outdoor market yesterday along with thousands of others. Most people wearing the 'mandatory' masks - but a certain 1 - 2% not wearing them correctly - nose out or just on the chin and a few not at all. I would like to see the city deputize a troop of 11 year olds to patrol these places with water guns with the mandate to squirt anyone in the face that's not covered properly.

I would call them the Squirt Squirt Patrol!
