According to epdfilm, #WeAreLadyParts is now available to stream in Germany, through ZDF. I would watch it again if the opportunity arose (but I think Mediathek only works for us in the UK with content produced in Germany)

Der sichere Mediathektipp “We Are Lady Parts”
mit Update nach einmal Schlafen
Ich fand sofort rein, hatte sofort meinen Spass. Ein herrliches Durcheinander in einer Ansammlung fast durchweg sympathischer Figuren (Hauptrollen: Anjana Vasan, Sarah Kameela Impey – “frighteningly charismatic” (zit. The Times) -, Faith Omole, Lucie Shorthouse, Juliette Motamed). Very british, wie es wohl nur dort möglich ist. Obwohl, wenn die “Reform Party” die Macht ergreift, wird es damit wohl schnell vorbeigehen. Und auch der beauftragende Channel 4 hätte eine ungewisse Zukunft vor sich. Also schnell gucken, bevor es zu spät ist.
“We Are Lady Parts”, nur die erste von zwei Staffeln. Ohne Angabe der Verfügbarkeit durch das ZDF. Mündige Zuschauer*innen behandelt mann anders …

Nach dem Bingewatching der ersten Staffel bin ich innerlich noch ganz erfüllt von dem Gesehenen. Imgrunde geht es Macherin Nida Manzoor um das Gleiche, wie der deutschen “Doppelhaushälfte”. Aber die “Doppelhaushälfte” (4 Staffeln in der ZDF-Mediathek) ist sooo deutsch, und die “Lady Parts” sind sooo britisch – hinreissend. Ich bin jetzt Fan von beiden.

Finally binging “#WeAreLadyParts.” Thought the premise sounded too precious and a Kominas Muslim punk ripoff, but so happy I was wrong.
So much more craft than the half-hearted “I wore my garba outfit ice skating” TikToks I see.

I knew I had been sleeping on the series We Are Lady Parts and I expected it to be good - but, wow, I did not know what I was in for.
#WeAreLadyParts is, simply put, one of the best series I've ever watched. It is joyful, captivating, funny, clever, punk rock, charming, moving, challenging, and overall fucking awesome!
Oh - and the music? That slaps too. Lifting the whole thing to a even higher level.

Sitcom britannique en deux saisons (2021 et 2024) et 12 épisodes. Disponible sur Peacock et sur Amazon Prime en France.Série créée par Nida Manzoor inspirée de sa propre vie, qui suit un groupe de punk rock londonien composée de 5 jeunes femmes musulmanes.
Si l'on reste dans le registre de la sitcom, la série évoque sans tabou les différents quotidiens de plusieurs femmes musulmanes à Londres tout en prenant de la distance et de la profondeur sur la question de l'émancipation. Islam, amitiés, familles et romance, tout est abordé. Drôle, émouvante et profonde, une série à voir absolument !

Season 2 of #WeAreLadyParts is everything that was great about the first season and more. The fact that the other band members came more into their own just elevated to another level. It's still hilarious and the new tunes are bangers. Loved it.
