A vaguely #AntiWork thought while I am in the middle of a long day...

Deliberately pretending that you don't know how to do something (a.k.a. #WeaponizedIncompetence ) is incredibly toxic in families and relationships, but it has a useful function in the workplace if you are a lower-level employee who has gotten a bunch of above-your-pay-grade work dumped on to your plate. Your #family needs you to step up and learn how to do things, because you're a collective with a shared goal. Your #workplace just wants you to do it without them having to train, promote, and pay you correctly, and they are the only ones who benefit in the arrangement.

Remember that your job will be posted before your obituary, and devote your above-and-beyond only when you're getting fair value in return.
