#Burnham talking serious sense today. Sadly this won't get sufficient coverage, because the UK (and many other countries) need to have this conversation.

We stop sacrificing social services to appease national security (or fiscal "discipline"). We need to look at raising government revenue - and we need to do that where the wealth is piling up.

But the answers always seems to be sacrificing more services (or rights) and *never* about more funding.
