  1. I am still trying to make abstract art with a camera and fast-moving water, and will probably never stop trying. It's my thing 🙄

  2. For weeks we have had short, dark, cold winter days and my local woodland has looked drab and dismal.
But yesterday we had beautiful sunshine and the burn that wends its way through the trees came alive with reflections, colours and textures.

  3. The council in my area has employed tree surgeons to cut down an avenue of ash trees which ran along the bank of a small burn through the park, claiming ash dieback disease was making them unsafe.
In the spring and summer those trees cast wonderful reflections on the rippled surface of the stream, but sadly that will no longer happen.
Here are some of the photographs I captured there.

  4. Dazzling Spring greens reflected on the surface of a slow-moving stream.

NB. Shot with a standard Nikon colour profile and no saturation increases in post processing.

  5. Another bow, but a yacht instead of a cruise ship. Taken in 2012, I have this printed on canvas in the house and love it to this day. You can actually see the meniscus at the air/water interface. #photography #boat #boatphotography #yacht #yachtphotography #water #waterphotography #reflection #reflectionphotography #nautical

  6. Exactly one year ago at this time we were travelling through Norway (again 😄😊) and visited this beautiful waterfall. A wonderful evening with such a magical atmosphere that we would like to share with you.
