#BikeNite A1: I'm in #WaterlooRegion on a Saturday night (technically Sunday morning), the first day this week I haven't had to drive somewhere and do something.
There are no OpenCycling days that I know of. There used to be an OpenStreets festival where King Street was blocked to cars and open to pedestrians, cyclists, vendors, and community group info booths, but that ended when the LRT came.
But I'd love to cycle on Hwy86, the freeway circling the two cities.

Create #Waterloo has a new Trail Mix compilation out.
(The idea here is you're supposed to scan the QR code you see on a sign on a local trail and listen to local music as you stroll. But it's all done through Bandcamp. I just follow their bandcamp and get updated on new mixes every year or two).

THIRD AGE LEARNING KW PROVIDES LIFELONG EDUCATION
In Waterloo Region, the pursuit of knowledge is not confined to university lecture halls or early-career ambitions. For over a decade, Third Age Learning Kitchener-Waterloo (TAL KW) has served as a fixture for residents—primarily retirees, work-from-home professionals and lifelong learners—who are looking to engage deeply with critical global issues and local community affairs. Each fall […]

#BikeNite A1: Posting in #WaterlooRegion on a Sunday 'cos I was busy on BikeNite itself.
Many decades ago I was cycling with friends a long way from home when I got a large gash in a tire. One of my friends ripped off the bottom of his T-shirt to wrap around the innertube. It stuck out through the rip in the tire, but it lasted the rest of the day.

It's Food Day Canada and for this week's column is for those who might grapple with ecoguilt when looking at their grocery trolley. Sustainable growing ideas whether you've got a back or balcony garden (or just houseplants).

#BikeNite A1: I'm back in #WaterlooRegion for a change. The big non-cycling happening is "driving".
I've needed to go to Burlington/Oakville about once a week for the last few months, and I'm so fed up with driving.
The trip is about 100km; I used to drive more than that to work every day. I don't know how I used to manage it.
