  1. Yesterday I came across this small waterfall tucked back in the forest beneath a huge fallen log.

What caught my eye was how the log framed the waterfall, with the deep green pool, moss-covered rocks, and ferns surrounding it.

It felt quiet and secluded back here. 😊📷

  2. There's a beautiful waterfall tucked into the rocky gorge just below the Christine Falls Bridge in Mount Rainier National Park.

I liked the contrast between the rushing whitewater, turquoise pool, and green moss growing along the rock walls.

It's a beautiful little spot that's easy to miss when visiting Christine Falls. 💦🌿

  3. Rushing water through moss-covered rocks.

While I was at Sol Duc Falls in Olympic National Park, I spent some time looking for smaller scenes away from the main waterfall.

What caught my eye here was the contrast between the fast-moving water and the dark rocks with green moss growing along the edges.

Sometimes the details away from the main waterfall are just as interesting. 🌿

  4. Sol Duc Falls in Olympic National Park. The bridge and towering forest provide a wonderful sense of scale around the rushing water.

  5. There’s something magical about slowing down and watching the water find its way. A little hidden beauty surrounded by green. 💚💦 #LongExposurePhotography #WaterfallPhotography #NaturePhotography #LandscapePhotography

  6. Waterfall, rock, and a little bit of rainbow.

What caught my eye here was the power of the water against all that dark volcanic rock. The waterfall feels loud and alive, but the rainbow near the base adds this quiet little surprise.

  7. Small waterfall near Reflection Lake.

This was one of those quieter stops in Mount Rainier National Park that would be easy to pass by, but the shape of the falls and the small peak rising in the far background is what caught my eye.

I liked how the scene had both things at once, the close-up rush of water in front and that quiet mountain view tucked behind it.

What catches your eye first, the waterfall or the peak in the distance?

  8. Bridal Veil Falls, Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

What I liked most here was how the waterfall felt tucked inside the forest instead of standing apart from it. The moss, rock, and rushing water all worked together and made the whole scene feel cool, quiet, and alive.

What catches your eye first, the waterfall or all that green around it?

  9. I drove down to Oregon this past weekend and stopped by Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.

I was amazed at how tall the falls were. The bridge gives the scene scale, but standing below the falls is what really makes you feel its height. You have to look way up to see the top.

I felt small in the best way. The sound of the water, the height of the cliffs, and the bridge tucked between the two drops made the scene feel bigger than a photo can really show.

  10. Lower falls at Wallace Falls State Park, Washington.

I went for a hike here and was struck by how the trail keeps you close to the Wallace River before opening to this view through the trees. It is one of those places that feels deep, green, and full of motion.

Where is your favorite place to hike for waterfall views?

  11. I wanted to portray the force that carves stone — Upper Yosemite Falls reduced to light, shadow, and motion in black and white. Clouds and cliff textures read differently in mono; the fall becomes a single relentless line.
