My Linux machine is back up! Finally have my private PC up and running again after finishing my custom loop… and suddenly realising the GPU is dying. (RIP RX 7800xt) I’ve only had the card for a year so luckily I received a full refund… and was able to replace it with a 9070xt just before the prices shot up. I had to buy a new waterblock though and adjust my hard tubing … again.
It was a stressful bunch of weeks but I’m happy with the result. Here’s to hoping no more components fail, especially the spicy DDR5 RAM…Parts list:
GPU: 9070 XT (Steel Legend #monsterhunter Edition… doesn’t matter cause the cooler came off lol)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700x
RAM: 32GB DDR5 (Corsair Vengeance)

Using my #laptop to keep a bag of fries warm, wondering how feasible it would be to adapt a #HeatSink and/or #radiator to hold, like, #coffee cups.
I like my coffee warm and I don't want to microwave it.
If I ever get a #WaterCooling setup, that radiator is gonna be external with a copper plate welded to it.

Do they have to use clean water in datacentres? Could they be built as water purification plants, with the heat from the servers used to drive the purification process?Or, how about running water though the datacentre cooling system, then into the heating system of a neighbouring operation? Say a hotel, or dairy factory. Whatever is nearby and uses a lot of hot water.
As #BillMollison said, the problem is the solution.
