Il est le futur outil de lutte contre les incendies. Le bombardier d’eau français Airbus sera opérationnel en 2029. L’idée est d’adapter des avions cargo ou de transports de passagers, avec deux flotteurs qui permettront d’écoper en mer, lac ou rivière. Le système est fabrique dans les chantiers navals Multiplast à Vannes en Bretagne. -

Electric aircraft are a long, long way from being #practical in general use. The DC-10 Air Tanker, a medium-large waterbomber, has three turbofan engines that produce 45-50,000 pounds of thrust - each.
The batteries that plane could carry while also taking off with 45 tonnes of water would not give it a whole lot of flying time 😜
