Edit: damnit, the bug is still there!

After updating to watchOS 11.6 it wasn’t doing it at first, but after editing the colour of the Hermès face and setting it to the Rouge Hands option, it started happening again.

Looks like I need to update FB15671870 again. *sigh*

This Apple Watch crown bug isn’t going to be fixed in watchOS 11.x, is it? Still there in watchOS 11.5.

When you’ve been reporting a 100% reproducible bug since November last year and have never once received a human reply on the bug report, why bother?

This bug is particularly annoying because it interrupts you right when you want to quickly check something in the Smart Stack.

Fedt, eller ikke særlig fedt for mig, men i går aftes blev jeg syg og i dag advarede mit ur mig om mulighed for sygdom i vitalparametre, hvilket er en ny funktion i watchOS 11.

I nogle tilfælde har andre delt, at deres ur har advaret dem inden de faktisk kunne mærke noget selv.

@lorihc Steps to reproduce:

1. Long-press the current watch face to bring up the watch face selection view
2. Tilt your wrist away from you so that the watch goes into “wrist down” mode - the watch face selection view will be closed and it’ll show the current watch face again
3. Tilt your wrist back up to make the current watch face active again
4. Try to scroll the crown to bring up the Smart Stack - the crown now doesn’t work as expected

Hey @lorihc! I have a 100% reliably reproducible watchOS bug with the digital crown and Smart Stack.

Since watchOS 11, when on the watch face, sometimes rotating the crown wouldn’t bring up the Smart Stack for me. I could fix it by pressing the crown to go to the App View, then pressing it again to go back to the watch face.

I’ve now just figured out steps to reproduce it and added them to FB15671870 (which also has a video and sysdiagnose).

I ran the betas all summer and also didn't realize I had to unpin my items in the smart stack before smart widgets would actually catch my eye at the top. I just thought it was broken or wondered why the weather was all the way at the bottom. :) Fabulous tip! I've unpinned and am seeing a totally different behavior!

This is the second big #Apple OS release within the last ~ month where devices are bricking.

First it was the M4 iPad Pro with #iPadOS18, now Watches. And it doesn't seem restricted to a specific model or CPU.
