I seem to make jam only to throw away 6 months later. When my mother died 17 years ago I saved her last pot of marmalade for a couple of years or so. Couldn't bear to open it. Buried it in woodlands where she took us as kids for reasons I can't possibly explain. I wonder what my two will do?

The industry desperately needs this. Fashion production doubled over the past 20 years, leading to an alarming amount of textile waste. Did you know the average American discards about 70 pounds of textiles each year? 😱 #FastFashion #WasteNot

Plastic waste is set to become the unwelcome guest we can't kick out! 🌏 In just 10 years, experts warn we’ll be drowning in the same materials we hoped to recycle. Time to step it up before we’re all living in a plastic paradise! #PlasticCrisis #Sustainability #WasteNot Source: https://theinformer.uk

#WritersCoffeeClub 01/08: Do you ever use discarded story ideas from one project in a different project?
Oh yeah, baby. Reuse, repurpose, recycle. Hell, most of my Scrivener use is to track cuts and notes so they're organized. I also have an area for unused/unclaimed but good dialogue and bits.
If it's good enough for Andrew Lloyd Webber, it's good enough for me. #wastenot #wantnot

Thinking of a software project close to home but no proper nouns, because this is a general observation.
6 months of delay on a project means different things depending on one's perspective.
Here in the US, for a person aged 65 a six month delay means ~4.2% of average remaining life expectancy. For a 35 year old, ~1.4%.
The numbers get worse for everybody as delay increases, arguably more significantly proportional to starting figure.
There are various implications.

Well done Anthony, looks great. I made one myself a couple of days ago. Beats supermarket bread hands down. Having a slice with my dinner tonight which is just leftovers mixed with other leftovers which means I’ll be eating it again tomorrow night 😂🤣. #WasteNot #WantNot -
I am glad that when they installed the mini split heat pump they ran the little condensation drain to the water barrel! Bonus! The heat pump is running pretty regularly with it being 34°C outside. The barrels are where I store water to top up the pond. #gardening #water #wastenot #PortAlberni

This sewing was for me today… rough cutting the neckline and sleeves off a T… then making a quick purse with one of the sleeves- including an inner pocket. #sewing #upcycling #recycling #sewist #wasteNot
And the strap was a leftover draw string from a years ago alteration. -
Just made some leftover "pesto" using a 4-day old pitta bread, a bag of frozen parsley that's been in the freezer for at least 3 months (thawed), home-made pineapple-skin vinegar, some pickle juice, Lidl's cheapest non-virgin olive oil and about 6 big cloves fresh garlic. All zhuzhed up in a blender, total 2 minutes to make. Not as good as fresh pesto but a lot better than a jar from Tesco! Will try fresh (cheaper) parsley from the market next time. #WasteNot #Recipes #Food #Leftovers

Making this roasted beet pesto again tonight!
Great way to use up beets that are starting to look a bit tired.
We paired it with a good Mexican Merlot shown in the picture, the first time we cooked this up.
