“Somewhere in America There’s a Street Named After My Dad” is the first track on the Was (Not Was) album ‘What Up, Dog?’ (which also features the hit “Walk the Dinosaur.”)
The singer is imagining a bucolic life far from the crime-and-violence-ridden streets in which he currently resides.
It’s just a song I’ve always liked and shows a more serious side of a band generally known for its quirky and often humorous output. #WasNotWas #AcousticCovers #CoverSongs
