There was a piece of a screw burried in the wood.
I saw the hole, tested it with a magnet, could not find anything.

The table saw found it for the price 47 eur.

Today I made the remaining dovetail cutouts, then I glued up the bottom frame (the screws are just for stability while the glue dries and will be removed later).
Next step: cleaning up the bottom frame, then on to making the A-frames for the sides that hold the clothes rail.

I remade the pieces with the dovetails. This time I cut them by hand and to my surprise they came out quite good.

My wife wants a new, sturdy clothes rack. So I bought some laminated wood (that was the only thing available in the right sizes) and a wooden rod and started building one.

I cut the wood to size. The frame is supposed to be joined with dovetail joints, but after cutting and cleaning the dovetails I realized that I had marked them on the wrong face of the beam. 🤦

Hier wollen ungefähr 2000 Audio-CDs regalisiert werden. Weil es in bezahlbar nichts brauchbares gibt, und auch in nicht bezahlbar die Luft eher dünn ist, setze ich auf Tauchsäge und Ideen. Und weil – für mich – mehr als zwei Unbekannte dabei sind, habe ich heute erstmal einen kleinen Prototypen gebaut. #diy #wasmitholz

Holz schleifen ist übel, offenbar kam sogar ein bisschen was durch die Maske durch (oder an ihr vorbei). Auch alles staubig, obwohl ich die ganze Zeit einen Staubsauger und einen Luftfilter dabei an hatte.

Ich sollte wirklich mein Gear upgraden, was für Masken möchte man für solche Arbeiten haben? #wasMitHolz

Drei Stunden Garagenschreinerei. Heute was mit Eisen. Und Rundeisenstangen sind nicht ganz genau rund, wenn man die im Laden kauft. Zefix. #wasmitholz

Das #kleineGelbeHausAmWald hat nun einen Schreibtisch. Hat Spaß gemacht!

Alles aus Holzresten vom Hausbau. #Sägen macht Spaß, #Schleifen nur so mittel und mit Holzschutzöl bearbeiten hab ich noch gar nicht gemacht, das ist der Endgegner!

Die Halterungen sind fest verschraubt, aber der Schreibtisch lässt sich abmontieren wenn man zwei Holzdübel entfernt.

Nächste Woche hab ich zwei Tage an denen ich von dort oben arbeiten werde.

Slowly becoming a table
