  1. 🎉 Oh joy, the #FDA has graced us with a blood #test that might vaguely hint at Alzheimer's—because who needs clarity when you have ambiguity? 🧪🔍 Meanwhile, #WashU Medicine's website continues to masquerade as a labyrinthine Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novel, complete with a farmer's market subplot. 🍅📚

  6. Here is a portrait of Betha Whitlow, the driving force behind WashU’s Digital Art History Lab (DAHL).

Once a slide curator, she digitized vast collections and helped make her own role obsolete — paving the way for DAHL, which now trains and empowers students in digital art history. Whitlow is celebrated not only for her innovation but also for her mentorship and advocacy for staff and students alike.

  11. #WashU's Caleb Durbin is playing his 10th game against the #stlcards of his career.

He's doubled. He's homered. And overall he's batting 12 for 28 (.429) in those games. Plus, he's reached base more times (18) than the #Cardinals have gotten him out (16).

  14. As #WashUAlum🐻, it's an incredible honor to give GI Grand Round as visiting professor at #WashU. Extra special to speak in the room named after my first clinical research mentor Dr. Ray Clouse, who introduced me to the field when I was a med student & inspired me to become an investigator.

Thank you for the wonderful day. It was amazing to see old friends and to meet the fellows & faculty. It will always be special to be back❤️

  23. This will be *fun*: got an email from administration this morning touting "a new look for WashU", and already the university homepage redirects from wustl.edu to washu.edu. The FAQ promises that email addresses and everything else will be switched over the next few years.

A whole lot of accounts, links, etc. will be breaking; changing URLs every few years is ridiculous. (My email was artsci.wustl.edu, is now wustl.edu, and apparently soon washu.edu.)

  31. (Hopefully final) #WashU wall update: the fences are now gone as well; everything was normal on campus today. No communication from administration since graduation.

I don't know what's happened to everyone previously suspended; hard to find out now that the Riverfront Times is closed. stlpr.org/2024-05-22/rft-sold-
