@grayface_ghost One of CS lecturers at #WarwickUni nearly 30 years ago was #trans before we even used the term as we do now.
I'll be writing to them as an alumnus expressing my disappointment:

Yean Ming and Rob wrote a review on MT lattice switching. They discuss evidence that protofilament-level structural switching is ancient and fundamental and conserved; and that tubulation creates new allosteric interfaces that operate on essentially the same structural switch.

Some of our early career researchers are presenting their work at the WMS PGR Symposium today in IBRB.
There's talks throughout the day in the "Mechanisms of Human Disease" and “Reproductive Biology" sessions.
Posters are in the atrium and talks are in IBRB lecture theatre, MTC LT or GLT1.

Less than 24 hours to go in the #WarwickUni Tri Grid Challenge. CMCB flyers have consolidated their 5th place but wait - what is this? Disaster for IBR Labrats! Base prime alpha squadron surge have surged past with 494.29 points to Labrats’ 476.63. A nail biting and tense day ahead.
Good luck to all competitors!

There are less than 48 h for our running/swimming/cycling/walking scientists to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. A fierce battle has raged during the 2nd and final week of #WarwickUni Tri-Grid Challenge. Zeeman Demons in 4th have held off CMCB Flyers and IBR Labrats who are languishing in 5th and 6th place, respectively.
Can Individual 9th Team or bas prime alpha squadron leapfrog the Labrats in a last minute assault on the valour of Flyers’ 5th place? Gripping stuff! -
@roylelab @steveroyle @Warwick_CMCB My lab-mate Lizzie and I, our colleagues from @seamus_holden’s and the McAinsh lab talked about our ideas on #mentorship schemes and how they could complement existing frameworks in our departments to support the mechanobiolgists of the future in their career growth 💪📈 #researchculture #warwickuni

@roylelab @steveroyle @Warwick_CMCB It would be so cool to implement the Virtual Reality tools developed by our CMCB colleagues from the Bretschneider lab for exploring imaging data - we could make a VR walkthrough of our “bag of molecular Skittles” to help with visualising the conclusions from lab’s recent Intracellular Nanovesicle proteomics data! 🤩 #CellBiology #FutureTech #academicchatter #warwickuni

@roylelab had a great time at @Warwick_CMCB retreat today! Here’s @steveroyle talking about how fun it’s been to make sense of what’s inside the bag of molecular Skittles, which is an analogy we’ve been using lately to describe our favourite vesicles: the small and highly abundant INVs. How are they formed? What are their functions? Do they have a unique lipid composition? Still lots to explore! 🔬 #CellBiology #MembraneTrafficking #academicchatter #warwickuni

…and we're off! CMCB Retreat gets under way. Director Rob Cross introducing the days activities.

Tomorrow: we have our CMCB retreat 2023. There will be 18 talks from our PIs for 15 min each (let's see if they keep to time!). Posters in the morning, lunch and tea. Finally, the Centre's ECRs have been working in teams on various tasks and will report at the end of the day!
