After firing the publisher, the editor, and some inconvenient reporters, Hegseth’s spokesman, Sean Parnell, announced that the Stars and Stripes would henceforth be directed “away from woke distractions that syphon morale.”
And that includes cartoons. And "Associated Press reprints." Or anything that smacks of truth.

Neither seems likely but the 2nd appears possible (unconditional surrender by Iran - whatever that means - vs Iran sinks a US ship or 2) #War #WarWhatIsItGoodFor #USPol

@LeftistLawyer Loved this post. I'm probably about your father's age. I shook up our family as an anti-war protester. My dad's war was the Pacific theater in WWII. He wasn't an alcoholic, so maybe things were easier for me in that regard. The downside was that he was so rough on me growing up that once I realized, as an adult, that it wasn't my fault, I couldn't forgive him 'til the day he died - a loss I feel deeply now. So hats off to you & your dad - and Edwin Starr!

“…. keep out of the way of officers, 'cos they ain't healthy. That's what you learn in the army. The enemy dun't really want to fight you, 'cos the enemy is mostly blokes like you
who want to go home with all their bits still on. But officers'Il get you killed.”
