Ambos son muy buenos, pero al tener Mint prefiero Warpinator porque, al ser nativo, está mucho mejor integrado al sistema. Por ejemplo, paraliza el apagado de pantalla mientras funciona. Pero tiene un bug, a veces se olvida de la configuración del directorio de recepción y tengo que rehacerlo manualmente.

Huh, well, there went my afternoon.

I move files back & forth between my Win10 & #Linux PCs frequently & thought I would try my hand at SFTP.

I watched a ton of videos & read through some guides. I set up a Filezilla server & client & proceeded to screw the entire afternoon away.

I could not get it to connect at all. I don't know why & right now I don't care.

Instead I installed #Warpinator to just be done with it. Works perfectly!

I'll try my hand again someday but today I was defeated. 😔

Just a tech note: for file transfer within your own network, #Warpinator on Linux, but available for Android and as "winpinator" for Winders, is brilliant: lightening fast and data doesn't go via the web.

If you're running GrapheneOS and you want a FAST wireless way to get files onto your device, then try out Warpinator.

The apk is available on GitHub directly, or F-DROID.

I have been using LocalSend for sending files between Linux Mint and GrapheneOS. Was a bit unreliable and slow.

Then I tried out Warpinator (which is included in Linux Mint), and it's FAST! Like 2x to 2.5x faster. Also has been very reliable. Can download the android version on F-Droid.

Highly recommend it if you're looking for a similar solution.

Also #KDEConnect ist schon was feines und macht #Warpinator schon überflüssig. Beides ist tolle Software und #FOSS. Vorteil von Warpinator ist, man schaltet es ein, überträgt die Daten, schaltet aus. Spart Strom.
KDEConnect ist dauerhaft aktiv und verbraucht Strom. Vorteil hier: Vieeel mächtiger und mehr Möglichkeiten.

Alors ce soir j'esaie de connecter mon /e/ teracube à mon PC linux Mint avec #Warpinator : impossible, #Rusdesk : impossible, #KDEConnect : impossible ! Ç a me met dans une rage folle, ça fonctionne parfois mais souvent, ça ne fonctionne pas !
C'est pas le bon point pour /e/ ou #teracube !

@sashapgt I too use #syncthing. It's powerful and sophisticated, but takes time to understand. Best for geeks only.

I would sooner recommend #Warpinator for non-geeks.

@sawyerp I know #syncthing well, and praise it for its firewall-punching goodness, speed, and other industrial-strength features.

Alas, it has a steep learning curve. I would say syncthing is for geeks only.

I actually tried to set up syncthing between myself and a few other monastics in the past, but it was eventually a fail.

#Warpinator is more realistic, as it's simpler. It only transfers one file at a time, and you have to be in the same LAN, but it's tough to beat its simplicity.
