  1. So, after so many years I decided to tackle what is most probably my most favourite #warhammerunderworlds warband. The amazing Morgok's Krushas.

No, seriously, look at Morgok. Can an Orc be cooler than him? Very difficult (unless you are a 40k Painboy, of course)

I hope you like my rendition of them!

(I promise, it was not intended to paint them after the spanish national football team 😅 )

  3. In order to speed up the deal with my grey mass, I concluded to, for each project, decide how much I care. If I really want a project to be to the best of my skill, I'd go for the usual paints. If I do not care that much, if I just want to have the minis play-ready, I would paint them with speed paints mostly.

So this is the first Warband I paint following that concept. Speed paints, true metallics, and a just a tip of normal acrylics for edge highlighting and only in the main surfaces. These were around 8hrs, which might sound like a lot, but it is still way faster than my usual rate. 😅

  5. Fresh out of the oven. My Xandire's Truthseekers (from the Harrowdeep box bought ages ago).

I tried my best for the golden NMM. I'd say is the best NMM golden I've done till date, but I feel they are missing more shine.

Also, in the picture you can't see well, I tried to do marble ground.

Anyways, I hope you like them!

  7. After a few other mini painters did their end of year collage I was curious about what I actually painted this year. It looks like I went through three #BloodBowl teams, a small force of #Quar, a #WarhammerUnderworlds team, and a couple other one-offs.

Here's to getting them on the table next year 🥂

  9. @symbology The painting will certainly consume as much time as you give. The up side I find to painting slow is that it helps me slow spending.

FWIW on cost: my personal approach to budget AoS is to play #WarhammerUnderworlds (3-7 models/team) and repurpose the models in #Warcry (10-15 models). I hear playing #Spearhead can also help keep costs down.

  11. Finally made it to local Monday night #WarhammerUnderworlds. Learned a lot of basics to improve my play (reading board state, card throughput, positioning fighters for better influence, treasure token placement).

Added fun: folks in the group are sharing #BloodBowl models to start playing.

  13. #WIP holiday gift. Some colors selected and base coats in. I gotta pick up the pace if we're gonna make it. Glad to be putting down pigment instead of planning. Very much in ugly phase atm.

  14. Holiday gift project planned. Friend and I will split painting a #WarhammerUnderworlds core box for a mutual friend.

A similar box from my co-painter friend brought me back into the hobby a couple years ago. Other friend coached me through building an Eldar Wildrider host back in 40k 3rd Ed.

  15. Taking a break from the 80-90% complete #WarhammerUnderworlds / #Warcry stuff to remind myself that not all #StormcastEternals are Hammers of Sigmar.

I'll be fighting my priming and undercoating choices on these but I'm so sick of gold and blue that multiple coats of red to cover black will be paradoxically fun.

Very much in the ugly phase but excited to apply a different scheme.

  16. #MiniaturesPainting progress has been small increments on #WIP models I've shared in the past. dice.camp/@tuonel/114372005301

Been focusing on #WarhammerUnderworlds models as I prep for a tournament. Curious to see if playing with new folks will help me appreciate the new edition more. If it doesn't there's still #Warcry, GW's best non-sports game. And it's a great time for proper fantasy football. 🏈

  17. So, here we go! Rippa's Snarlfangs just finished!

I will have to convince my friend to try #warhammerunderworlds, otherwise they will have to wait until I paint some Orks to be used in #warhammerwarcry - which would be a pity, cause these gobbos are eager to fight!

    Waaagh! 💚

  18. The other day I learnt that I have enough minis to build a full Warcry band. I was checking what else I could play with the minis I already have, after my friend got a Spearhead box as a present. So Rippa and his mates got top priority.

Today I had a bit of airbrush fun. I want to paint these wolves following a real wolf picture I found on the internet. Let's see how I manage. The top part should become as dark as black, while the lower part should end up white, with cream/beige tones in between. I hope I got a right starting palette. 😉

  19. My "Thundrik's Profiteers" band for Warhammer Underworlds. I was not initially motivated to paint them (acquired the band last year) because they are all similar to equivalents in Age of Sigmar. So I thought of doing them each in a different skyport color scheme with a more "grim dark" style, which ended up being super motivating and fun.

  20. I decided to start painting my Kharadron Overlords Warhammer Underworlds band. I want to have fun with it so I'll paint each figurine with a different skyport color scheme and in a grim dark style. Here's the first one "Garodd Alensen" from Barak-Urbaz.

  21. Family picture of my Skittershank's Clawpack Warhammer Underworlds warband, finally fully painted. I'm really happy with the results and I will enjoy playing with them even more!

  22. The leader of my Skittershank's Clawpack Warhammer Underworlds warband, Slynk Skittershank. Just like the 4 previous figurines of that warband, I used the same grisaille + contrast paints technique.

  23. The first 2 members of my Skittershank's Clawpack Warhammer Underworlds warband, Krowch't and Skulck. I painted it with a technique of grisaille + contrast paints.

  24. The 4th member of my Skittershank's Clawpack Warhammer Underworlds warband, Snyp Padpaw. Just like the 3 previous figurines of that warband, I used the same grisaille + contrast paints technique. Getting a little bit better at it.
