Rewatching the Transformers: War for Cybertron trilogy. Can't stress how damn great it is. Excellent, gritty animation, but kids can still watch it, and it's solid for adults too. I feel like this is the Transformers stuff fans of the franchise since the 80s (such as myself) have always wanted, after that first classic movie in 1987.

Brought War For Cybertron Optimus Prime to work! He sure is a chunky thing! I don't think it's a stretch to assume that he was designed as a large figure but they needed to smallify him to fit in with the single size category of the toyline.

I like Ultra Magnus out of his armor. The Siege one I have doesn't feel like just a white Optimus Prime, despite looking like one.

These days, it's easy to forget that this guy was Optimus Primes' closest friend in the G1 cartoon. Ironhide really needs more of a presence again.

Really nice mould, with some really good paint applications to pick out the details - a nice case where there's a definite improvement on the original 1990 versions!
But then there's Power Punch's face just being a yellow blob 🤦‍♂️

The Siege/Earthrise Micromasters were a real mixed bag - Bombshock here is a gorgeous mould, with a great face sculpt nicely painted to pick out the details.

His patrol-mate Growl on the other hand came barely stand up.
