Turns out there's an app for that, for #MeshCore at least.
I got a lot of strange looks.

The ESP32 Has Quietly Become One of the Most Interesting Hacker Devices Alive
Expensive hardware often becomes ornamental. People baby it. They curate it. They build identities around owning it. Cheap hardware gets modified until it resembles evidence recovered from a flooded basement. -

Got fed up with #wigle's web interface and started loading my #wardriving records into #qgis instead.
Overly complicated and massively overkill?
Yes... but it is working.

Anyone more in tune with @CoD_Segfault #wardriver plans know if the v2 of their mini is going to be released online or via physical purchase at #defcon 33?

I didn’t make a new hard hat for #defcon this year. I thought about it but my hat last year got such a good response it deserves at least one more year!
I did give it a few upgrades though, including some glasses.

Yea! I just ordered the #SignalSleuth PCB (I have all of the parts already). Ready to add 5G to my #wardriving
Thanks @463n7_57 , @lukeswitzer and @jhewitt_net

It’s my @WiGLEnet #nerdAversary! 20 years since my first upload!
I got myself another 3,400 APs in a drive with all the tools. My wife and the dog tagged along for this momentous occasion.
Love the community, the makers, the coders, all the awesome folks out there putting #dotsOnMaps

#devlog
rfpartyd is a lil daemon that sits there logging ble+gps to a mongo style db.Meanwhile clients or local apps, like rfparty.xyz running in electron, need a way to talk to the daemon locally. I'm working on adding the unix socket support to the gui tonight and getting to gui parity with the android app.
Stretch goal is to get mDNS discovery in (aka zeroconf) tonight so you can automagically find your gear without knowing the LAN ip.✨

Alright, got the new rfpartyd daemon running on the pinephone pro 🤘🏿
https://github.com/datapartyjs/rfparty-monitor/pull/2
I should probably actually try and get location from the default location provider in mobian. As it is right now I'm doing some hacks to get the modem in the right state to talk to gpsd. I think I missed something on how this supposed to work 🤔
Anyway, we get BLE data and when gpsd is happy we'll get location too 😃

A long weekend vacation in NC netted a healthy collection of new #wardriving finds, despite traversing big areas in the mountains that had almost ZERO cell coverage. Despite that, still netted 250+ new cell towers.
Surpassed 1.3 million APs with a firm grip on position #98 on the @WiGLEnet big board! The #pixel6 just continues to be a beast!
Also gonna take some time to sort out the beer tastings - lots of new brews and local items from the Ashville area. #beer

Spent my weekend building then playing with the #WiSpy - an Arduino-based #wardriving kit from #Hackerboxes (HB89) - and now I'm shopping for a hardhat to mount it to like @MrBill #MakeShitMonday

I’ll fanboi one more time on the #WiSpy rig - the Bluetooth and WiFi performance is amazing!
Top to bottom - WiSpy, Galaxy S8, Galaxy Core Prime, Galaxy S7 Edge
And that’s with

Finally nice enough to get out on the bike. I noticed that there were about 5 or 6 blocks with no #wiglenet data within biking distance from my house. No idea how I missed them. Picked up nearly 1300 new APs. #AllTheWifi #wardriving #warbiking

Accomplishments today:
Updated my bots to be more resilient, i.e., not die if they can't reach the message bus immediately but go into a retry loop (like they do in the main do_stuff() loop). Deployed and running. #exocortex
Soldered a set of GPIO headers onto my RasPi0 so I can add an OLED display. #wardriving
Tried to fix my busted wardriving wifi NIC by resoldering the antenna connector. Don't know if I did a good job of that, I had a hard time getting the existing solder to melt. Didn't want to crank the heat on my soldering iron up too high, but I might have to give it a shot later on. Have to test it.
