Bill Evans Trio - Waltz for Debby
Can't say much about this album that hasn't been said over the past 61 years, but this new pressing is *awfully* good (and I've heard an lot of them). It's popular enough to have its own hashtag.
Obviously highly recommended.
(Moved some stuff into different rooms here, which accounts for the different view. Brinkmann Taurus rather than the Rega P10, and the Brinkmann Edison Mk II rather than the Aesthetix.)

Can't say much about this album that hasn't been said over the past 61 years, but this new pressing is *awfully* good (and I've heard an lot of them). It's popular enough to have its own hashtag.

Chilling sipping fine rye & #NowSpinning #WaltzForDebby by the #BillEvans Trio.
Cliché, I know, but this is my favourite of his #Riverside output. So smooth, refined & the playing is melodic & nimble.
This, from the boxset by #AnalogueProductions, is cut at 45 by #KevinGray. My set is flawless, flat, dynamic, & ‘in the room’ real.
As a Trio, there is telepathy at work here, but I find myself leaning into the playing of #ScottLaFaro.
