As I had an office day today and the weather is sunny I decided to walk to work this morning, for the first time in ages.

Along the path someone had set a fire to burn their rubbish (madness in this dry weather) which was still smouldering.

Still the local rats were very appreciative of have a cooked breakfast for a change!

I couldn't get a proper picture this morning. But I looked down over Øster å dalen (eastern stream valley) in Aalborg. The fog covered it and it looked so mystical almost mythical. I wish I had brought a better camera. #morningwalk #walktowork #nature #NatureInTheCity

Then I remembered a photographs blog post I read recently. Who said that he preferred to not bring his #camera on walks in his home town. Because he liked to experience it. Rather than seeing it through a lens. Today I understood

Not sure that it’s a great look for the lutruwita/Tasmania Transport Minister to be living it up in the Metro corporate box at the basketball when so many people are having their lives disrupted by hundreds of bus cancellations. #IDontDriveABusMate #LetThemWait #WalkToWork

Have you seen this one? Before & after of a brain after a 20 minute walk — illustrates why walking to work, or school, or just to get the intellectual juices flowing, has been strongly linked to better creative & intellectual performance.
Just one of MANY benefits of choosing to walk, for you and for society.
Design and build walkable cities.
