TWITTER EMBRACED OEMBED EARLY BUT NOT COMPLETELY. i think that by 2009-2010 we were already seeing embedded videos and thumbnails of articles but, curiously, not tweets.
i spent the whole year of 2011 βthe year of #ArabSpring #Syntagma #Acampadas #Walkerville #Bloombergville and #OccupyWallStreetβ writing many a QT on tweets where i was translating quotes from many EU sources still somewhat geoblocked in USA, especially BBC News, El PaΓs, LβExpress and Al-Jazeeraβ¦ π§΅

hereβs tangential mini-thread i wrote about how Wisconsin was one of the big stories of 2011 during the #ArabSpring and how without Winconsinβs #Walkerville, there would have never been a #Bloombergville nor an #OccupyWallStreet.

read the TL;DR on Wisconsin's 2011 protests
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Wisconsin_protestsalthough the MSM mostly acknowledged the #Walkerville summer encampments created by the #Teamsters in June of that year, i actually had been news curating the Wisconsin protests from February because Michigan activists knew i'd been curating #ArabSpring news for over a month.
they couldn't use tents so they slept in SLEEPING BAGS in the middle of FEBRUARY of 2011.
what does it have to do with your #unemployment benefits?

@canadaehx My grandmother lived in this part of Windsor, Ontario. Many streets there (Ypres, Somme, Byng) were named after battles and leaders in The Great War. I believe the homes were war time homes (WWII era). No Currie though! Huh!
