Why was my walk harder than normal today?
I was grumpy, I was very cranky indeed. I walked 10 mile and by the end of it I was ready to fight someone.I had two days off. I've been using A.I. to refine my progress. It suggested a rest day as I'm still not in great shape and I'd had 7 days of long walks. Could that have something to do with it?

Rule of thumb in the #US... Look at #auto / #pedestrian injury stats in your area. Many of the same factors that make things dangerous for #cyclists 🚲 are also dangerous for #walkers. 🚶
Don't know the recent stats, but a few years ago #Florida was the worst in the US, and had two of the top three worst cities #Jacksonville and #Orlando . We generally don't even have sidewalks in many cities.
Several deaths and bad injuries in my area over the years. We have a #GhostBike hanging in a tree about a mile from my house. http://ghostbikes.org/ I avoid riding my bike on the highways in Fla. 🙁
In my experience, car drivers are rarely held responsible when they hit a bike.

Here's my completed Pokémon Tazo collection, released in the year 2000, in packets of Walker's Crisps. Tazos were likely a response to the Pogs craze, and were available in many countries around the world. During the Covid-19 lockdowns I purchased the final Tazo I needed (Dratini)
In 2001 a set of 25 featuring 2nd gen Pokémon were released, with a further 10 added later. These sets were smaller than what other countries got, and while I wish we got some of the larger sets here in the UK, I'm thankful to finally have these two complete sets!

You probably don’t associate me with the “abstract/modernist” movt. & you’d be right!In reality, this #sculpture celebrates the industrial heritage & local people of Staveley & Hollingwood in NE #Derbyshire, as well as the fact that the #TransPeninneTrail runs right down the side of the #Chesterfield Canal, and is a real thoroughfare for #walkers & #cyclists The support posts still need painting & I will post some pics of the completed work when the sun comes out!

Several long distance trails start/end in Holywell and there is easy access to the Welsh Coastal Path.
With easy access to the Clwydian Range (AONB), the area offers interesting walks with fantastic scenery

Today’s #cycle ride was a 12 km trip to the #river and back, near the place it opens out into an #estuary. There are some nice gradients as one approaches the river which provide a bit of an extra challenge on the way up. It’s almost entirely #off-road but there is very little #traffic. The #weather couldn’t better with still air and bright sunshine, though not hot. There were a few #walkers, #joggers and fellow #cyclists about.
